Update on Noah's Arm
As most of you probably know, about 10 days ago Noah fell off the monkey bars at school. We were able to determine that on the way down he hit is arm on the bar that the kids use to climb up to get on the monkey bars. The force broke both bones in his left arm (the radius and the ulna). Both bones were "snapped". The X-ray of his arm when we went in is below. They reset the bones in the hospital with him asleep. This was when Mark gracefully needed to leave the room (he woke up about 30 minutes later). Today Noah had it rex-rayed and they determined that he could go with a long arm cast. He's already getting it signed!
Nico's Birthday Party
We celebrated Nico's 9th birthday yesterday. His actual birthday is on Wednesday the 25th. He got some nice presents....a new basketball bag, some under armour, money, clothes and the one thing he really wanted...an Iowa hawkeye sweatshirt. Or at least that's what he thought. Uncle and Aunt Jill were sneaky enough to wrap his present in Hawkeye wrapping paper and give him some Iowa Hawkeye Gum and a sweatshirt (which was Jill's). Just when Nico was unsure what to think, Uncle Dan whipped off his sweatshirt to reveal a Notre Dame Brady Quinn jersey (which was what he really wanted) and Dan said he just got it for himself. Nico said "Aw, come ON..." We finally told him it was his. He hasn't taken it off since. Go Irish!!
Our First Blog
So I've been reading a lot of blogs lately...and I thought it looked kind of fun, especially with all the exciting things we have going on ALL the time in our family. Rather than trying to keep up a website or sending out picture links all the time, it makes sense that this might be a fun "spot" to keep everyone involved with what's going on in our life...so enjoy!
